KELOWNA, BC – Ecora Engineering and Resource Group is pleased to announce the addition of two senior resource consulting professionals to the Ecora Team.
Bruce McClymont, HBScF RPF joins Ecora as the Company’s Senior Inventory Forester, bringing with him a wealth of experience in forest inventory, and a sound knowledge of operational forestry, strategic planning and resource analysis. Bruce graduated with a Forest Technologist Diploma in 1987 from Sir Sandford Fleming College and an Honors Bachelor of Science in Forestry Degree in 1995 from Lakehead University. He has worked as an inventory forester, operational forester, planner and permitter, project manager and program coordinator for various consultancies and forest licensees in both Ontario and British Columbia. Bruce brings in-depth knowledge of forest and timber inventory planning, delivery, customization, auditing, quality control, quality assurance and project management, and he possesses strong professional relationships with clients and government officials. As the Senior Inventory Forester for Ecora, he will supervise the design and delivery of inventory projects, and provide inventory extension and training services to our various clients. Bruce will be based out of Prince George and will support inventory services company-wide.
As the Environmental Sciences Manager, Scott Hawker R.P. Bio. is responsible for the coordination and management of the environmental sciences group. Scott is a Registered Professional Biologist (2004), with a Technical Diploma with Honours from the Renewable Resources (Forestry) program at the BC Institute of Technology and a Bachelors of Science degree from Simon Fraser University in Ecology and Environmental Toxicology. He brings to Ecora over 17 years of technical consulting expertise in the natural resources sector, with significant experience in the management and successful delivery of field-intensive projects including mapping and inventories of terrestrial ecosystems, conducting forest and ecosystem inventory and quality assurance plots, mapping and revising biogeoclimatic ecosystem classification boundaries and preparing baselines and environmental assessment chapters for proposed mining projects throughout BC and Nunavut.
