The client retained Ecora to carry out a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment for several parcels to figure out the potential each parcel may have in relation to being above applicable Contaminated Sites Standards. The source soil parcels were investigated for areas of potential environmental concern through a historical review of records, interviews, hazardous materials site inventory, and regulatory database investigations.

The receiving site parcels were screened for regulatory triggers for receiving soils based on Protocol 19 Site investigation Protocol, and any current or historic Specified Industrial or Commercial Uses.

Ecora identified areas of concern to investigate prior to construction, to avoid the issues of transportation of potentially contaminated soils to a clean source site.

The Phase II Environmental Site Assessment is planned to be completed this year, to create the framework for the soil management plan to be used during construction. Ecora will be overseeing the Phase II Environmental Site Assessment, the soil management plan, and the relocation of soil during construction.
