The client retained Ecora to oversee the receiving of high volumes of clean soil into their facility to ensure the soil met regulatory standards and guidelines for Provincial and Federal sites in Canada.
Ecora assisted in the creation of policies in relation to placement of soil within the facility, management of native soils, figuring out background soil allowable limits, and screening level risk assessments for clean soils.
Ecora assessed incoming soils to figure out any potential risks, to receiving bodies, ingestion to humans, and toxicity to soil invertebrates within the area. Ecora created soil management procedures to eliminate risks and protect human health and the environment.
Ecora is working in partnership with the client to review, assess, and manage clean soils to ensure waste grade soils are not brought into the facility and to ensure the soils at the facility remain clean.
