Outland Design was retained by The Ponds to prepare landscape a development permit plan, landscape construction drawings and undertake contract administration and site inspection services for Phase 2 of this master-planned community located in the Okanagan Mission. The Phase 2 streetscape provided an extension of a multi-use path system, pedestrian circulation via concrete sidewalks throughout the neighbourhood and connection to the adjacent nature trails for the residents. Ornamental planting nodes were located at street corners, lane entries and crosswalk bump-outs to provide subtle wayfinding cues for motorists and pedestrians.
